In the early 1960’s, more than 7,000 families in NJ and PA were forced to sell their homes and businesses to make way for a dam and reservoir that were never built. Award winning journalist David Pierce tells the story of the thousands that were displaced by the ill-fated Tocks Island Dam Project, the squatters who illegally occupied the abandoned homes, and the courageous residents who mobilized a campaign opposing this project.
