The Walpack Historical Society would like to thank everyone who attended today’s presentation at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort provided a wonderful backdrop for Cara’s presentation. Cara, the curator of the Shawnee History Museum, discussed hundreds of years of local history as well as the history of the property beginning with the Native Americans who made the area their home. Cara lead guests throughout the Inn as she recounted the many interesting layers of history and shared stories of the famous people who have visited over the years. The tour concluded at the Shawnee History Museum where WHS President Don Stieh and Jeff Stoveken presented Cara with a donation to the museum.
Once again, thank you to everyone who joined us today. It was wonderful to see so many new people and to reunite with friends. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon.
