Christmas in Walpack

Take a step back in time during WHS’s annual Walpack Country Christmas. The Walpack Center Church and the Rosenkrans Museum will both be decorated for the holiday and open to the public on Saturday, December 14th and Sunday, December 15th. Both buildings will be open from 1 pm – 4 pm.

Van Campen Day 2019

Sunday, October 13, 12 to 5pm – Join us for our annual Van Campen Day. Learn about this unique property and the family that it is named after on the Old Mine Road. Movie: These Thirty Years - A special presentation - Sept. 8 at 1pm

On Sunday, September 8 at 1:00 PM   Walpack Historical Society will host a special showing of the movie “THESE 30 YEARS” which was filmed in the Walpack area in the early 1930’s. This film was produced by the Ford Motor Company to promote its automobiles and features a race between a horse and buggy and a “horseless carriage” of the early automotive era. Various Walpack locations were used in filming and are recognizable today.

The History of Art of the Minisink Region - Aug. 18 @ 1pm

Local artist, Marie Liu will present her popular Power Point presentation “The History of Art of the Minisink Region” to the Walpack Historical Society on August 18 at 1:00 pm.
