The Walpack Historical Society invites guests to “peek” INSIDE THE WALPACK ARCHIVES on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025. The program will begin at 1 pm. Guests are welcome to come early to socialize and browse our bookstore. The majority of the event will take place in the Walpack Center Church. The Barn and Rosenkrans Museum will be open for tours as well.
Over the past 41 years the Walpack Historical Society has collected, largely through very generous donations, a treasure trove of items. Some examples of the items that will be displayed on Sunday are as follows:
- A handmade wedding dress crafted by May Cole for her sister’s wedding.
- Artwork by Allan Eldridge and Bea Utter
- Garris books
- A Heritage Quilt
- The weavings of Julia Lewis
- Lenape artifacts – including a ceramic bowl and arrowheads
- An antique cash register and typewriter
- Methodist Church Newsletters from the 1800s and more.
Please remember, the bridge in Walpack Center is closed. Guests must access Main Street using NPS 615.
