The Walpack Historical Society invites you to join us as we visit the Moravian Church Settlements in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Sunday, July 20, 2025. The group will meet at God’s Acre, also known as The Moravian Cemetery, located at 2 W. Market St., Bethlehem, PA, 18018 at 9:30 am. The Walpack Historical Society’s “Road Trip” to Bethlehem invites guests to step back to the mid-1700s as we explore some of Walpack’s roots within the well-preserved history of the Moravians. Local historians, genealogists and descendants of Walpack’s earliest inhabitants will highlight portions of the Dansbury Diaries, which provide first-hand accounts of the travels of Moravian missionaries in the area including their interactions with both settlers and Native American Indians. The group will explore Bethlehem following a short presentation.
Guests are encouraged to continue exploring the area upon the conclusion of our presentation. Please note that the Blueberry Festival will also be occurring on Sunday, July 20th, 2025.
