The Walpack Historical Society invites you to join us as we explore the unique history of The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 1 pm. Please gather on the veranda. The Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort was built in 1911 and was originally known as The Buckwood Inn. The property was purchased by Charles Kirkwood in 1977 and is still owned by the Kirkwood Family. Over the past century, the Shawnee Inn has welcomed varied groups of interesting individuals, hosted various golf events and survived floods. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the building and grounds (weather permitting) and explore The Shawnee History Museum.
