Inside the Walpack Archives - June 22 at 1pm

The Walpack Historical Society invites guests to “peek” INSIDE THE WALPACK ARCHIVES on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025. The program will begin at 1 pm. Guests are welcome to come early to socialize and browse our bookstore. The majority of the event will take place in the Walpack Center Church. Juneteenth Observance - June 20, 11am to 2pm

Walpack Historical Society in cooperation with the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area NPS, will honor the history of African American Residents in Walpack Township in observance of Juneteenth on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 11 am – 2:00 pm. Guided tours will be conducted of the Black/Slave Cemetery where the remains of up to 50 individuals are interred in unmarked graves. Some are believed to have been former slaves.

A Tour of Old Mine Road - A Special Video Presentation

Please join us on Sunday, May 21 at 1:00 for an exclusive showing of a Tour of Old Mine Road in 1967. This video has never been seen in a public forum. The photographs and narration are by Henry Topfer. It was produced when plans were being made to flood the Minisink valley for the Tocks Island Dam project. Lower Walpack Cemetery Presentation – July 17, 2022

The Victorian Lady's Wardrobe - Sept. 17 at 1pm

On Sunday September 17th 2017 at 1:00-pm, the Walpack Historical Society will present a program by Lydia Chiappini demonstrating the construction of the Victorian Lady’s Wardrobe by deconstructing the various layers which support the fashion silhouette of the period, including hoop skirts, bustles, corsets, pantaloons and accessories. July 16 - Thunder Mountain Ranch
