The Walpack Historical Society invites guests to “peek” INSIDE THE WALPACK ARCHIVES on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025. The program will begin at 1 pm. Walpack Historical Society in cooperation with the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area NPS, will honor the history of African American Residents in Walpack Township in observance of Juneteenth on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 11 am – 2:00 pm. Guided tours will be conducted of the Black/Slave Cemetery where the remains of up to 50 individuals are interred in unmarked graves. Some are believed to have been former slaves.
