On Sunday, September 8 at 1:00 PM Walpack Historical Society will host a special showing of the movie “THESE 30 YEARS” which was filmed in the Walpack area in the early 1930’s. This film was produced by the Ford Motor Company to promote its automobiles and features a race between a horse and buggy and a “horseless carriage” of the early automotive era. Various Walpack locations were used in filming and are recognizable today. (You will have to attend to learn who won the race.)
This film was last shown in Walpack about 15 years ago, and your club attended with many antique automobiles, the display was immensely enjoyed by all. Your members are most welcome to take a ride up to our beautiful Walpack Valley on September 8, and we look forward to seeing you there.
The showing starts at 1:00PM at the Walpack Center Methodist Church, and there is no charge to attend.
