The Walpack Historical Society invites you to join us on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 1 pm for Sharon Spangenberg’s presentation on the New Jersey Forts Along the Delaware Frontier. Using Capt. Jonathan Hampton’s mid-1700 maps as a guide, Sharon will take you on a 62-mile visual tour from Fort Reading in Warren County north to Fort Gardiner in Orange County, NY. You will be able to see the general area where the forts were located on this large map showing original roads that existed as far back as the late 1700’s.
WHS invites guests to arrive early to socialize and meet new people. Our bookstore will be open at the Walpack Church. Please remember that the bridge in Walpack Center is still closed. Guests must access Main Street using NPS 615.
