The Walpack Historical Society invites you to join us as we celebrate Heritage Day in Walpack Center on Sunday, October 11th, 2026 from 12 pm – 4 pm. This year’s event will take place entirely in Walpack Center. The schoolhouse, church, barn, general store/post office and the Rosenkrans Museum will all be open for tours. Exhibitors will be offering demonstrations on blacksmithing, tatting (making lace), spinning and chair caning. The Colonial Musketeers and the Frontier Guard are both participating in the day’s events. David C. Pierce will be on hand to sign his book, “Tocks Island: Dammed If You Do”. The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area (NPS), Friends of Delaware Water Gap N.R.A., the Van Campen Homestead and Skylands Archaeology Research Program (SARP) will also be present at the event. Visitors will find a variety of displays along Main Street and in the church.
We hope to see you on Main Street as we celebrate Walpack’s rich history and heritage!
Please note, Walpack Historical Society is proud to be part of the 16th Annual Sussex County Heritage Weekend. Walpack Center is only open to guests on Sunday, October 11th from 12 pm – 4 pm.
