Join the Walpack Historical Society on Sunday, June 23rd for an informative presentation by Sharon Spangenberg who will share her research material that proves the true location of Fort Nomanock which has been lost over time. For over 50 years, the location of Fort Nomanock is described as being “down that field on the right.” Understandably, many believe the site of this colonial fort was located at the stone ruins under the maple tree. Those stones are located at the northwest edge of a field to the right of a farm lane that led to Nomanock Island in Sandyston Township.
The presentation will be at the Walpack M.E. Church in Walpack Center at 1pm.
